Today, I finished transcribing the second episode of a French historical series I have been working on over the past few days. Each episode lasts around 45 minutes. I just completed a translation over the weekend for a former colleague of mine. Time for a coffee break and to work on my course for a bit! One more batch: Subtitle Translation for Scientific Conference Roundtables, 37 minutes, English into Russian. I just finished a fun transcreation of three voice-over scripts for short commercials for an international toy company.

Continuous professional development (CPD): Today I watched a video about GEO (Generative Engine Optimization or Generative Experience Optimization) to learn how it impacts SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Key take-aways: Google's AI overviews are not killing SEO - just like featured snippets didn't kill SEO. GEO is simply another way to optimize your digital content. E-E-A-T, especially authoritative sources/links remain very important. What can you do now? Keep doing what you are already doing but also analyse as well as observe the new AI overview and how it impacts your traffic and then optimize your content accordingly.
